The QuickBooks Online Freeze Date tells clickBACON the earliest date it should import data from your QuickBooks Online account. Any data in QuickBooks Online dated before this date will not be imported into clickBACON.

For example, if you set your freeze date to July 1, 2026, clickBACON will only import data up to and including June 30, 2026.

This setting is useful in two situations:

For bookkeepers: If you are taking over the books for a restaurant, setting a freeze date ensures that any historical QuickBooks Online data that existed before you started will not come into clickBACON. This keeps your imported data clean from the start.

For existing clickBACON users: If you already have data in clickBACON, setting a freeze date protects that data from being overwritten by what is currently in QuickBooks Online

To set your freeze date, click the gear icon, choose Settings, then select API Settings. You will need to have QuickBooks Online connected to your clickBACON account before this option is available.
